Vintage coffee table in grey/black marble - 1960s/1970s

Superb vintage coffee table in neoclassical / Hollywood Regency style, dating from the 1960s-1970s. It consists of a magnificent and thick rectangular marble top, featuring shades of anthracite grey and black, enhanced by a very graphic and elegant white veining. The top rests on a robust metal base with a superb gold leaf finish (or patinated gold effect). The design is distinguished by its geometric lines and large circular scrolls made of flat iron, connected by a stylised central stretcher.
