Large Italian abstract stained glass panel – modernist glass art, 175cm x 98cm

An impressive large-scale Italian stained glass panel featuring a striking abstract composition in vibrant cobalt blue, fiery red, orange, golden yellow and emerald green. The design combines bold geometric forms with flowing organic lines, creating a beautiful contrast between structure and movement. The central section features richly marbled red and orange glass, surrounded by vivid blue textured glass and contrasting green and yellow accents. Individual pieces of coloured glass are joined with traditional lead cames, forming an expressive architectural composition that changes beautifully with the light. The panel is housed in an aluminium inner frame and a substantial wooden outer frame, giving it a strong architectural presence. A particularly exciting feature is its potential for backlighting. The panel could be transformed into a spectacular illuminated wall artwork by installing a custom-made LED lightbox behind it. When illuminated, the rich colours and textures of the glass would become even more vibrant, creating a dramatic focal point. Equally impressive displayed in front of a window, incorporated into an interior partition or used as a standalone decorative architectural element. A wonderful statement piece for collectors, interior designers and lovers of colourful modernist design. Vintage condition with age-related wear to the frame. Please examine the detailed photographs for the condition of the glass and leadwork.
