Old Savoyard Workbench 1880s

Magnificent antique carpenter's workbench made of solid Savoy wood from the 1880s. A true piece of professional furniture steeped in history, it has retained all its superb original patina. Its robust structure and timeless lines make it an ideal centrepiece to be repurposed as an entrance console, a living room/TV unit, a kitchen island, or for the layout of a retro/loft-style shop. Features and details: Materials: Thick solid wood (very stable top and legs) and period fittings. Included equipment: A large original cast iron vertical clamp, fully functional and very graphic. A side wooden press with its clamping screw. A central drawer under the top for storage. A low wooden shelf serving as a storage shelf (ideal for placing baskets or decorative items). Condition: Very good vintage condition. The wood shows a magnificent patina of use, reflecting its artisan past (small marks, natural imperfections that add to its charm).
