Oil on panel signed B. Franco depicting a lively winter landscape, in a very decorative post-impressionist style. The scene features a snow-covered path lined with bare trees, animated by two figures walking towards a small stone bridge and a farmhouse. The bright sky with golden hues brings a beautiful end-of-day atmosphere, while the generously worked texture with a knife adds a lot of relief and dynamism to the composition. The work is signed at the bottom right "B. Franco". On the reverse is a label mentioning: "Gold Medal San Remo 1961" as well as an award in Èze in 1972. Technique: oil on panel. Original moulded and gilded wooden frame, with red and gold decoration, fully contributing to the vintage charm of the whole. Dimensions with frame: Height: 38 cm. Width: 46 cm.
