Vintage pine bedside table – Central Europe, circa 1950
Vintage bedside table made of pine wood from Central Europe. It comes from functional domestic furniture of the mid-20th century, when two-tone paint characterized simple pieces in rural bedrooms. Tables of this type were produced in small series to furnish the bedrooms of country houses, combining a single drawer with straight legs and rounded corners. The structure, with simple lines, rests on four straight legs with rounded front corners and features a front drawer with a turned handle. The original white paint covers the structure, while the top surface and handle retain the characteristic black, both marked by daily use. In a contemporary bedroom, it serves as a bedside or accent table, bringing the graphic character of mid-century painted furniture. Details. Dimensions: Length 40 cm – Depth 40 cm – Height 50 cm.
