Set of 6 dining chairs by Gijs Bakker

Set of 6 stackable ‘strip’ dining chairs designed by gijs bakker and produced by castelyn in the netherlands in the 1970’s. Each chair is made of 4 strips of laminated beech wood of 11 cm wide that were bent and pressed into their final, organic shape. Every chair in this set carries the maker’s label underneath. In fact, they have been sitting under a blanket in a dutch attic for over 30 years, so they are in very good condition as shown in the pictures. We have the matching strip table on offer as well coming from the same attic.
