POST-MODERN ELEGANCE: A MUSEUM PIECE IN YOUR INTERIOR Discover this iconic work of glass design from the 1990s, born from the collaboration between Czech genius Jiří Šuhájek and the excellence of Barovier & Toso. This anthropomorphic sculptural vase is not just a container, but a true artistic presence. It belongs to the sought-after "Characters" series, produced by B.A.G. (Bohemia Art Glass) in Vsetín. This historic collaboration united the legendary technicality of Bohemian crystal with the chromatic refinement of Murano. DESCRIPTION & TECHNICAL SHEET Artist: Jiří Šuhájek (born 1943) – Internationally renowned master glassmaker, whose works are featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum (London) and the Corning Museum of Glass (New York). Publisher: B.A.G. (Bohemia Art Glass) for Barovier & Toso (Murano). Period: Circa 1990 - 1995. Materials: Mouth-blown glass, hot-worked appliqués. Aesthetic: Body in sky blue opaline glass with a satin finish, a curved silhouette evoking a stylised bust. The "arms" made of cobalt blue glass beads and the gaze suggested by two embedded discs give the piece a playful and deeply human character. Stability: Massive circular base in cobalt blue crystal glass, providing an elegant chromatic contrast and perfect stability. DIMENSIONS Height: 26.5 cm. Width (at the arms): 14.5 cm. Neck diameter: 10.5 cm. Weight: Approximately 1.5 kg (solid and dense glass). CONDITION Excellent overall condition. A rigorously selected collector's piece: no chips, cracks, or restorations. Gallery condition. WHY THIS PIECE IS AN INVESTMENT The "azure" blue of this model is one of the rarest and most sought-after variants on the market. It recalls the famous blue of Barovier.
