This set of four stackable chairs, dating from the 1960s-1970s, is a perfect expression of Scandinavian style, combining organic warmth with industrial sobriety. Directly inspired by Arne Jacobsen's iconic "Ant" chair, they are distinguished by a wider silhouette, offering ideal sturdiness for everyday use. The seat, made from moulded plywood in one piece, provides the advantage of a fluid silhouette without any visual breaks and adapts perfectly to the body's comfort. The seat has been stained to reveal a deep and warm hue (teak or rosewood imitation). Underneath the seat, the stain does not cover the entire wood and stops naturally at that point, revealing the original wood. This detail is invisible when the chair is placed down. The set has been thoroughly cleaned: the wood has been preserved in its original patina, while the chrome-plated steel base has been carefully polished to regain its shine. Some light signs of wear are to be noted (see the last three representative photos). The chairs are completed with their black plastic tips and protections; some are original and others have been added. These pieces are ideal for integrating into a modern interior, as they help to break the sometimes overly clinical or cold aspect of certain contemporary tables. They bring an extra touch of soul and lend themselves beautifully to the "mix & match" game, allowing them to be paired with other styles of seating to create a dynamic and personalised atmosphere. Dimensions: W.47 × D.48 × H.86 cm / Seat: W.44.5 × H.44 cm / Backrest: W.41.5 cm.
