Art Deco Oak Nightstand with Carved Door and Red Marble Top, 1920

An Art Deco bedside cabinet in oak, made in Belgium around 1920. Under the red marble top there is a drawer with a brass ring pull, an open shelf, and below a panelled door with a small carved floral medallion. The cabinet stands on short turned feet. The red marble with its light veining gives a rich contrast with the warm oak. A practical and decorative piece that works as a nightstand or as a small cabinet next to a sofa or armchair. Condition: good, with some dull spots on the marble.
