This piece, with its vibrant colours, is made of luminous orange opal glass, beautifully highlighted by a fine black glass rim applied hot. This bowl is distinguished by its wavy and scalloped edge as well as its slightly curved shape, characteristics of Powolny's famous "Tango" glass series. Characterised by bold colour contrasts and minimalist geometric shapes, the "Tango" glass marked a radical break from traditional iridescent Art Nouveau glass, paving the way for the modernist movement.
