Svante Skogh coffee table

Although he worked with a number of furniture makers throughout his career, during the 1950s and 1960s, swedish designer svante skogh is best known for his creation of objects produced by seffle (sometimes written as säffle ). Many of his design pieces have survived the years and are sought after on the current vintage market, including this large walnut coffee table produced in the 1960s. The table, as a whole, reveals an organic shape. Its rounded base is reminiscent of roots. Note, slight characteristic signs of use linked to age and use on the tray equipped with a solid layer of transparent resin which has split in part over about twenty centimeters (see photos). Thanks to this protection, the tray is protected from all kinds of spilled liquids, shocks, or accidents of all kinds. The base is stable and has no play. L178 d66cm h53cm.
