A very rare Mid Century wall unit from the Norwegian manufacturer Blindheim, based on a design by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim from the early 1960s. The special feature of this shelving system is its modularity. The elements can be freely combined within the grid. Unlike other wall units, this system is particularly compact and flexible and does not need to be mounted on the wall. The supports of the system simply lean against the wall and are intercepted by a diagonal foot. Notably, the back cutout allows for the passage of any existing skirting boards. Regularly spaced notches allow for free positioning of the elements. The containers and shelf edges are suspended with brass cones and ironing. There are containers with drawers and sliding doors, open edges, unusual shelves, and books with cheeks.
