Pair of Ludvik Volak armchairs, Dřevopodnik Holešov, Czechoslovakia, 1989
A distinctive set of vintage armchairs designed by Ludvik Volak and manufactured by Dřevopodnik Holešov in Czechoslovakia in 1989. These elegant armchairs feature sculptural black wood frames, wide armrests, slightly curved backs, and light grey fabric seats. Their clean geometric design reflects the refined character of Czech furniture from the late 20th century. The armchairs retain their original construction and upholstery. They have been professionally cleaned, although some areas could not be completely cleaned. The fabric shows age-related discolouration and some damage, and the armchairs are suitable for reupholstering. The wooden frames have been treated with bio oil. The construction allows for relatively easy disassembly, making reupholstering straightforward. This offer is for a pair of two matching armchairs.
