Solid white sculpted alabaster lamp base in Hollywood Regency style - 1970s

An old lamp base made of solid carved alabaster, slightly veined white in colour. Its turned shape and square base evoke certain decorative productions from the 1970s, in a neoclassical or Hollywood Regency style. It is fitted with a black Bakelite socket for an E27 bulb as well as a switch on the cable. Functionality tested. In very good condition, with slight signs of age. There is a small irregularity under the base, visible only up close and without impact when it is placed. The lampshade visible in the ambient photograph is not included in the sale.
