Very nice painting of small format representing the lighthouse of biarritz and the bridge of basta. Knife oil on isorel panel. Undated frame. Most certainly painted in the 30s. Work signed lower right: jiva. Of russian origin, robert william jivanovitch known as jiva settled in biarritz from the years 20-25 and loved to paint biarritz and the basque country. Nice marriage of colors (ocean blue and ochres). Original wooden frame painted black and gold paint net. Condition: paint in its juice, some cracks on the right side - friction area with the frame, paint chip on the left side. (see photo). Traces of dust and dirt. Size: Isorel: h13cm X l20cm. With frame: h21.5 cm X l29 cm X e3cm.
