Tableau 30's "The Mushrooms" signed E.LEAS

Oil on panel signed E.LEAS, depicting a return from mushroom picking, created in a sophisticated palette that favours a more artistic than naturalistic approach for a more original work. The piece, an impressionist still life painted in the 1930s, is in good condition. Its frame, likely a later addition with a gilded moulding, has suffered damage (humidity) to the jute mount. Surprisingly, due to its natural hue, it can be considered for preservation or retinting. Height 51 cm, width 59 cm, depth 7 cm. Ref TABLO260323.
