60s modernist style desk in black and mahogany laqué wood

This elegant 1960s modernist office, both aesthetically pleasing and solid, is reminiscent of pierre guariche's work. Small in size, it is nevertheless very practical with its two hanging drawers and its deep niche, ideal for storing a laptop or displaying some beautiful books. Made of black lace-up beech for footing, and mahogany veneer for dressing, this desk puts wood in the spotlight in a male/female version that we love. We particularly like the beautiful veining of the tray and the graphic handles in bakelite. The office is in good general condition but has traces of use. The veneer is trimmed at the corners and stops, and the black splatter flakes in places. The varnish of the tray is worn in places, and traces of discoloration are visible, especially against the light. The drawers slide well and their interior is clean. Niche dimensions: width 57 cm X depth 46 cm X height 11 cm. Inside drawers: width 27 cm X depth 43 cm X height 9 cm.
