Ashtray "sun" Jean-Marais

Glossy black enamelled ceramic collar with a glossy black collar, decorated in the center of a solar face. Signed. Jean marais (1913-1998) "sun" ashtray in black enamelled ceramic. Signed at the heel. H. 5 cm X diam 17 cm. At the age of sixty, the actor jean marais retired to vallauris where he practiced pottery, sculpture and theatre. He opened a shop and even an art gallery thanks to a couple of pottery friends.
