Sconce by J. T. Kalmar for Kalmar Franken KG, 1970s

A unique wall sconce designed by Julius Theodor Kalmar for the renowned Kalmar Werkstätten. The model with colored glassbardo rarely seen. It is a classic of Austrian design of the mid-20th century - elegant, timeless and perfectly in line with the aesthetics of mid-century modern. The wall lamp consists of thick hand-molded glass sheets with a unique structure resembling frozen ice, which subtly diffuses the light to create a soft, moody glow. The glass elements are set on a metal structure. Thanks to its sculptural form, the wall lamp serves both a utilitarian and aesthetic function.
