Boulenger & Cie Choisy iron earthenware soup plate

Old hollow plate (before 1920) in iron clay, stamped (red stamp) "b & cie / f", ie, boulenger & cie in choisy-le-roi, and (in hollow) "d 2". Pink monochrome decoration of a finely detailed 18th century country scene: shepherdess handing a tuft of grass to her white goat. No accident except a few old chips on the heel, slight traces of friction on the edge of the marli and a small chip on the edge (see detail photos), no scratches from use. Diam. 23 cm.
