Sèvres lamp - celestial blue

Superb oil table lamp in sèvres porcelain and gilt bronze which can be converted to electricity while retaining its original mounts, dating from around 1870. The lamp has a cylindrical and tapered porcelain body, superbly decorated and hand painted. The hand: courting lovers in a naturalistic landscape with foliage, trees and flowers. The cartouche is richly enhanced with gilding on a celestial blue background. Height: 47cm width: 13cm.
