Pair of amber glass torches decorated with gothic motifs

Period: 1930-1940. A pair of very special amber-colored pressed glass torches. The column-shaped torches stand on a star-shaped foot and have very intricate gothic-inspired details all over the surface: gothic arches and cathedral columns, trefles, geometric floral motifs, etc. Amber glass takes on different shades of translucency depending on the thickness of the details in relief. These can take candles that are larger than the norm. I could not attribute them to a manufacturer but they are in the styles of glass manufacturers of the early 20th century like luxval (belgium) or vallerysthal-portieux (france). State: Minor splinters with pointed corners on the feet (blunt corners) and a splinter on the upper edge of one of the torches (see photos). The inclusions of bubbles and lines in the glass are typical in the oldest molded-pressed items. Size: See photo.
