Art Deco celadon and black modular service cutlery rest

Rare modular set in glazed ceramic composed of 12 triangular elements and two matching circular discs, in a beautiful celadon green highlighted with a deep black rim. The set evokes both Art Deco geometric explorations and certain modernist table designs from the 1930s to 1950s. The pieces can be used freely: as a bottle mat, modular serving tray, knife rest, graphic centrepiece composition, or simply as a sculptural decorative object. The ceramic is heavy, dense, and of high-quality craftsmanship, featuring a very successful concentric moulded decoration that enhances the architectural aspect of the set. The modularity allows for the creation of multiple configurations according to use and desire. Production remains unidentified to this day, likely European. In good vintage condition with some signs of wear; three triangles have a hairline crack, and one has been restored (see photos). Discs measure 12 cm in diameter and 1 cm in thickness. Triangular elements are 9 cm long, with thicknesses of 1 cm and 1.5 cm at the tip and black rim side. An atypical and graphic set, with a modernist and sculptural presence.
