Botanical print, Rosa Damascena, by P-J Redouté

Botanical poster, engraving of Rosa Damascena Italica, The Four Seasons of Italy, by P-J Redouté, famous for his watercolours of flowers and roses, collaborator with the greatest botanists (1759-1840). This is a vintage print from the Rémond printing house (1950s/60s), framed and under glass. With its original colours, the botanical poster depicts a rose in delicate hues that stand out against the cream background of the poster. Condition: The border shows signs of yellowing, which enhances the vintage aspect and adds charm to the poster, which is in generally good condition. The structure of the glass frame is in good condition but has marks and/or missing colours and wood. Details in the photo. External dimensions: 45/34.3cm.
