Antique French shop counter dating from around 1930, originally used in a patisserie in France. The counter is made of oak, chestnut, and pine, with a thick 2 cm marble worktop, surrounded by a chestnut wood edge. Unlike many old counters, this piece is open and usable from both sides, with open shelves and a practical drawer on one side. Ideal as a standalone kitchen island, the storage and work surface are accessible from both sides. The wood shows signs of wear, marks, remnants of paint, and colour variations, preserved for the character of the piece. The marble also shows signs of age and use. At 90 cm high, the counter offers a practical working height for use as a kitchen island or preparation table. The marble provides a durable work surface, suitable for its former use in a French patisserie. Origin: France. Period: circa 1930. Original use: patisserie counter. Materials: oak, chestnut, pine, and marble. Features: open storage on both sides, shelves, and a drawer. Condition: good vintage condition with visible wear related to age and signs of commercial use.
