This beautiful pitcher is signed Roger Jacques (1920-2001), a French ceramist among the pottery artists of Puisaye, in Saint Amand, in the Nièvre (France). The pitcher is made of enameled stoneware, in soft brown colors, with very pretty white drip effects. The inside of the pitcher is enameled, the bottom of the object is in raw stoneware. A signed piece, in excellent condition. Round stamp in hollow under the base: "Roger Jacques - Saint Amand - Nièvre - Grès Made in France". Height: 17.5 cm - Base diameter: 8 cm - Neck diameter: 7 cm - Body diameter at the widest point (without the handle): 11 cm - Weight: 645 g. 20th century - 1960s.
