Magnificent and rare set of eight Art Deco modernist chairs. This set of eight chairs was designed and manufactured by Fa. Randoe Haarlem for the town hall of Haarlem. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak frame with original black lacquer finish. The backs and seats are covered in high-quality black leather. In very good condition, with minor wear due to age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. A true eye-catcher in your home or office. The modernist aspect of this magnificent set of eight Art Deco chairs by Fa. Randoe Haarlem is also known in the Netherlands as the Haagse School. This school was inspired by the works of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The renowned Dutch art magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. The most well-known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons, and Jan Brunott.
