Set of 4 SE 68 chairs – Egon Eiermann for Wilde + Spieth (1950s-60s) An icon of post-war German design, the SE 68 chair was designed by Egon Eiermann in 1951 for Wilde + Spieth. Its sleek design elegantly combines a chrome tubular steel frame with a moulded plywood seat and backrest, an innovative combination at the time that would make this model one of the great classics of modern German furniture. This set of 4 vintage chairs is appealing due to its light lines, excellent ergonomics, and the beauty of its dark brown stained veneer with particularly expressive grain. The chrome structures add a refined industrial touch that harmoniously contrasts with the warmth of the wood. Seat height 46cm. These chairs date from the 1980s (see stamp). Small impacts on the wood (see photo) which are normal wear due to their age and use. Very nice patina of time.
