Ancient Indian furniture Damchiya

Small indian furniture in teak wood. The damchiya was the traditional chest containing the dowry that the indian bride took with her to settle with her husband. This traditional piece of furniture was handmade, at the request of the bride-to-be's family, in anticipation of the wedding. Each piece is therefore unique! This one opens on top.
