Art Deco floor lamp in marquetry, France, 1930s

Elegant Art Deco floor lamp in wood marquetry, made in France in the 1930s-1940s. The shaft is decorated with meticulous marquetry work combining different types of wood in contrasting shades. The alternation of patterns highlights the quality of execution and the characteristic aesthetics of the Art Deco period. It is paired with a large lampshade from the 1960s, made from finely draped fabric and adorned with scalloped edges highlighted by decorative trimming, which diffuses a very beautiful soft and warm light. The overall condition is very good for its age. The electricity has been checked and is functional. Sold with or without lampshade. Dimensions: H180cm, D50cm.
