Vintage Melitta Ceracron coffee set – scarlet red – 1970s

Red glazed ceramic coffee service signed Melitta – Ceracron, Germany. A very graphic cylindrical silhouette, typical of West German design from the 1970s. The shiny red glaze subtly contrasts with the characteristic dark brown interior of the Ceracron range. The set includes: 1 coffee pot with lid. 1 milk jug. 1 sugar bowl with lid. 4 cups. 4 saucers. 2 egg cups. The dimensions given are for the coffee pot; the cups and accessories are harmoniously proportioned. In very good condition. The set has clearly seen little use. Rare and slight signs of wear. A discreet small chip in the glaze under one cup (visible in close-up in the photo). No structural defects. No visible cracks or chips on the front. The set is sound, stable, and ready to use.
