"Stockholm" chair by IKEA inspired by Yngve Ekström

Very pretty chair, 1960s series in solid beech from IKEA, model "Stockholm" Seat height: 44cm. Before becoming a global giant, IKEA offered in the 50s-60s pieces of furniture with clean lines and careful craftsmanship, often designed by anonymous designers but inspired by Scandinavian functionalism. This model is largely inspired by the Pinocchio chair by Yngve Ekstrom. Its fine and timeless silhouette evokes both Shaker style and Nordic modernism. To be placed around a rustic table, in a mix & match with contemporary pieces, or as extra seating in an entrance or a bedroom. Chair sold as is with its patina, a small barely visible defect on the left edge of the seat. To be stripped or left in this vintage patina.
