A set of rare wall lamps from Hoffmeister, Germany, 1970s. Model 35060. Space Age style in orange. These hexagonal lamps are a real eye-catcher in any lounge interior from the Panton-Eames era. Made from hard-pressed ABC plastic. They measure approx. 35 X 31 cm in length/width and protrude 6.5 cm from the wall (WITHOUT a fitted bulb). They are designed for hard-wiring directly into the wall, so the white wire shown in the photos is only there to demonstrate the lamp lit up. We strongly recommend using a reflector bulb as shown in the photos, where the bulb is shielded and the light is directed upwards onto the lamp. (These can be bought online anywhere.) Both are free from cracks, holes or other defects, but one has faded more over time than the other. A) It has faded quite a bit and is almost more salmon-coloured than orange; we’d give it 5/10. B) It has faded but not nearly as much as A; we’d give it 7/10. The price is for the set = both lamps. Sold without bulbs (both have a standard E26/E27 porcelain socket) Packed securely and sent with insurance.
