#ikebana is not only a floral art, but also a form of meditation, creativity, an artistic and spiritual expression putting mother nature at the forefront, the origin of all life. * This sumptuous hanging wall vase, handcrafted and of Japanese origin, is made of white clay stoneware ceramic, with a beautiful shiny glaze. The patterns representing a Japanese garden are in relief and polychrome. It seems to me that a small restoration has taken place, judging by the glaze dripping, but also by the cement texture mixed with pieces of clay poured into the bottom. All this adds a certain very natural imperfection which contributes to the charm of this vase in my opinion. The back of the vase is not glazed, and it has a mounting hole to be able to fix it on a support of your choice. * As for the writing, I was able to decipher that it is Japanese katakana, and I managed to find the writing of “grandson of…” the rest I could not identify! * It is in very good condition, without cracks, with some glaze imperfections and natural wear due to firing, but also to craftsmanship.
