Gerry Hunt’s career paralleled the development of contemporary art. Born in 1927, his artistic trajectory reflects the major artistic trends of the second half of the 20th century. This interest in the “languages” of 20th-century painting is clearly evident in his 1980s publication: Some Principles and Practice of Twelve Modern Art Styles (Coracle Press, London).
