Superb pair of stoneware candlesticks handmade by the British workshop Sedgefield Pottery, founded by potter Bill Todd in County Durham. These pieces, typical of Studio Pottery from the late 20th century (1980s-1990s), are distinguished by their elegant and stable shape, with a wide base and flared neck. The wood ash glaze provides a beautiful metallic black/anthracite grey finish with subtle reflections, similar to gunmetal, contrasting with the lower part left in raw clay. Each candlestick is signed "Sedgefield Pottery" under the base, ensuring its authenticity. Height: 9 cm Width: 10 cm (at the widest point).
