Demeyere smoking/side table, 1930s, art deco

Smoking table or plant table Very cool smoking accessories were made in the days when smoking was still considered cool (think a young James Dean, Marlon Brando?!). Of course, we now know better and no longer make ashtrays for Father's Day. Table lighters are also banned, but I have developed a small fetish for them, because wow! They really made some cool table lighters! But back to this smoking table. A design by Demeyere, 1930s. Sleek art deco style, made from a combination of chrome-plated metal and Bakelite. Minimal signs of use. The match holder is unfortunately missing. Dimensions: H 72 cm, W 43 cm, D 25 cm.
