Large wooden chessboard and leatherette 48cm x 48cm

Superb chessboard accompanied by its wooden pieces in full. The set consists of a tray and its parts. The top is large: 48cm side. It is made of leatherette on a wooden base and its sides are enhanced by golden metal angles. The boxes are numbered from 1 to 8 and have the letters from a to h on the 4 sides of the tray. The rooms are made of wood. The play of blacks is of a dark brown wood and the whites of a lighter wood. The pieces are of an appreciable size with 5cm high for the pawns and 10cm high for the king, the largest room. The back of the pawns rests on a green felt glued for a better glide of the pieces on the chessboard. The base of the pieces measures 4cm in diameter. All the pieces are in very good condition except the white king where there is a snag (see photo) nevertheless not very visible once the game is in place. This set of wood and imitation leather is exceptional because of its impressive size and the quality of its pieces. Give it a central place on a coffee table or easily put the tray away to take it out when you want to play a game. Tray in one piece, non-foldable. No storage box for rooms.
