Antique dolphin candlestick in patinated regulus bronze style – 19th century (1)

Rare and charming zoomorphic candlestick from the 19th century (Napoleon III style / High Period / Maison Jansen spirit), representing a fantastic dolphin or a stylised marine chimera. The animal is depicted upside down, its arched body covered in finely chiselled scales. The raised tail serves as a grip, while the mouth supports a cup-shaped bobeche resting on a base that mimics a textured branch. A characterful object with a strong aesthetic, ideal for a "cabinet of curiosities" style decoration. Style: Eclectic / Napoleon III period (19th century) Material: Heavy regulus with a beautiful original antique patina imitating bronze (the underside of the base reveals the natural silver-grey colour of the metal). Dimensions: Height 15 cm | Standard candle holder of 2.5 cm in diameter. Weight: 474 g (a beautiful, solid, and very stable object) Condition: Beautiful vintage condition "in its juice" with an authentic patina and superb reliefs. Very fast shipping and highly secure packaging guaranteed.
