Parisian buffet

Parisian sideboard in fir and chestnut late 19th early 20th century made by a carpenter intended for a farm, hence the presence of wood attacked by wood-eating insects when the wood was standing (which allowed to have a more competitive price at the time) ... the piece of furniture is perfectly healthy and without insects. Restored and painted by a cabinetmaker, the piece of furniture was sandblasted, treated with essential oils as a precaution and repainted in sage worm with chalk paint and a hydro fixative which allows it to be cleaned with a sponge, top in raw fir varnished 3 layers. Matt finish. Everything is original including the handles and locks perfectly functional. Interior sanded and varnished including the drawers for daily use. Some stains in the bottoms of drawers unfortunately indelible (see photos). A removable but not adjustable shelf.
