Vintage wicker wood and bamboo chest

Adorable chest from the early 80s, solid wood dressed in wicker, nailed bamboo finishing rods and brass-looking metal fittings. It is obviously handmade, as evidenced by the corner cuts of the chopsticks sometimes a little random and the fact that the fittings have been varnished at the same time as the trunk, which gives them an aged appearance, even rusty on some, which adds to their charm. Over time, it has weathered a little in places and some wicker strands have risen (see photos), but the whole is in a magnificent condition. Its contained dimensions allow it to take place everywhere and play many roles, such as treasure chest in a children's room, bedside next to a low bed, end of sofa, coffee bar table in a small space etc.
