Highly individual hand woven long-piled carpet dating from the 1960s, the design consisting of bold, long 'brush strokes' in strongly contrasting reds and blues. Excellent condition with minimal signs of age and use. A rare Walter Mack hand-knotted carpet in all natural colours...label on the back 'Walter Mack'. The firm Walter Mack designed and produced hand-knotted carpets in Ötisheim, Germany from 1929 until 1975 (documentary confirmation in 3 photos).
