Antique baroque mirror gilded with leaf – carved wood

Magnificent antique baroque style mirror, in carved and gilded wood, with a rich patina mixing gold, brown and dark red. The openwork frame is decorated with finely worked volutes, palmettes and rocaille motifs, typical of italian or spanish productions of the 18th century, here probably a beautiful 19th or early 20th century reissue. The back is in original raw wood, and the mirror has been replaced (more recent glass in good condition). Some small chips on the ends, without detracting from the decorative effect. Perfect for giving character to an entrance, a bedroom or a classic or bohemian living room.
