Here is a very beautiful terracotta lamp base with a lovely glaze finely speckled in taupe, brown, and greige tones. It's difficult to capture the true colours in photos, which also vary depending on ambient light, so I am including a photo against a light beige background and one against a black background; the reality lies somewhere in between. The shape is simple and very elegant, a lovely sphere of good size, with very slight concentric striations and a few bulges that testify to fine craftsmanship. This is the work of the ceramist Eric Debruyne in his workshop "Poterie du val d’Authie" in Roussent, a workshop established in the 1970s that has now closed a few years ago. It is signed underneath the base. It is difficult to date this lamp precisely, but the shape of the switch suggests it may be from the 1980s. You just need to pair it with a lampshade of your choice. I have tested it, it works, the electrical part is reliable and in good condition, there is no need to check or change the electrification, and it also includes the ring to screw in the lampshade. The ceramic base is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or even a nick. The socket is designed for a small screw bulb (E14). The base measures 15.5 cm in height, 21 cm in height with the socket, approximately 18 cm in diameter, and the cable measures 180 cm in length.
