Chair 56 in arched beech and canning by Michael Thonet for Thonet Wien

Chair n°56 to the german-austrian designer and cabinetmaker michael thonet dating from the early twentieth century in dark wood beech composed of a backrest formed by a round wooden frame with an arched wooden arch for better support of the back, a square seat with rounded corners and a braided cannage directly into the frame, four roundwood legs connected by an arched beech spacer. Stamped on the back by the designer thonet and by the editor thonet wien, this solid and stable chair is in perfect condition since we have completely blurred the traces of time on the wood and that the canning has only a broken link close to the frame that does not detract from its charm and solidity. Ideal around a table or in front of a desk, this chair will find its place in any type of interior and will bring both a vintage and design touch to your decoration. Seat height, h47 cm.
