Chinese elm hairdresser's stool with its original red hairstyling. This unusual piece of furniture dates back to the 19th century. Bought in beijing in the early 80s. The small drawer on the front was used to collect coins that the hairdresser inserted into the slot on the seat. The craftsman stored his instruments in the drawers on one side.
