Office chair, Encoignure model, Louis XV style, 19th century period.

Small office armchair, in Louis XV style, made of wood, moulded and leather. 19th century. It is distinguished by its enveloping gondola shape, specially designed to offer excellent working comfort while remaining compact. It rests on four elegant curved legs. The central front leg is adorned at its top with a fine floral motif sculpture. Perfect stability. Upholstered in warm brown leather, decorated with a golden frieze, with slight signs of use, see photo. The seat, backrest, and armrests are enhanced by decorative nail trim. The top of the wooden backrest is carved with a leaf motif. Bouncy and comfortable seat. Seat height: 45 cm. With its warm patina and curved lines, this chair combines the charm of the old with the ergonomics of a work chair. A characterful piece of furniture, ideal for dressing a desk or a reading nook.
