Pablo Picasso, original lithograph (not a reproduction!) Year: 1973. Technique: lithograph on arches paper. Vollard suite, 1200 copies, spadem. Signed in the plate, numbered in pencil. Edition stamp and plate number on the back, publisher's stamp on the front. Litho no. 90: “minotaur dying in the arena” Dim: 43 X 33 cm. Very good state. Without frame. The Vollard suite is a series of one hundred etching prints by Picasso between 1930 and 1937. Named after the art dealer who commissioned it, Ambroise Vollard. However, it was only printed two years later by the engraver Roger Lacourière in 230 copies, but Vollard's death in 1939 and the advent of the Second World War meant that the series was not released on the art market until in the 1950s. The proposed edition dates from 1973 (the last), in lithographic version.
