Antique gilded mirror in Louis XVI style with shell decoration 42 x 21 cm

Elegant narrow antique wall mirror, made of wood and gilded composition, in a revisited Louis XVI style, adorned with a decor of stylised shells and scrolls at the top and bottom. Its architecturally structured and elongated silhouette gives it a refined decorative presence, ideal for an entrance, between two windows, or as part of a wall arrangement. The frame shows a beautiful old patina with natural wear and rubbing of the gilding, particularly visible in the reliefs and corners. The mirror has retained its original glass, with some fine marks and slight discreet alterations to the backing consistent with its age. Original back painted gold with a suspension attachment.
