Old wooden bench with backrest, dated 1923

Incredible, this 101-year-old wooden bench, dated by its author to 1923! Charming work of joinery, from the legs to the backrest, all in great aesthetic coherence. This bench, which has survived the decades, however, received an attack from woodworms, impossible to date, but stabilized during its acquisition. Then painted dark brown (a few traces remain), we stripped it, sanded it and treated it with xylophene as a precaution. It then received a coat of hard primer before applying two coats of golden oak stain. Here he is now able to resume the course of his long life.
